Mountain Biking:

We often get asked "where do you ride MTBs at around here?" Well the only spot we really have is what is known as "SugarLoaf". It is approimately 10 miles from downtown to the east of town. From 16th St (hwy 95) and Pacific Ave head east until you get to 7E (Chevron and Circle K on corner). Turn left and go to County 5th St. (follow signs to transfer site). Turn right on County 5th, go past transfer site, over the bridge and left turn. Parking is on the about 50 yards. Click link to go to MTB project.

Road Riding:

You assume all risks while riding on the road and Yuma is no different. However, there are plenty of areas to ride safely and roads with plenty of shoulder room. Hwy 195 at the intersection 32nd St and Araby road heading south is a great place to ride with wide open shoulders. You can ride all the way to the Mexico border and back. This four lane road is great for individual riding or group riding.

Although there have been lots of road improvements throughout Yuma, most roads still need attention. There are bike routes through town, however, there isn't much from getting into town from the Foothills or vice versa. Yuma Bike Map below.
